Today is the day whose day-length is the shortest of the year.
It is called that day "TOUJI" in Japanese.
We Japanese must do two old customs on the very day.
First, we take bath with Japanese citrus YUZU floated on water.
YUZU smells very nice and reluxing but also has disinfection effect or keep body warm.
Second, we eat pumpkin.
Pumpkin must have been taken as a vegetable which is highly nutritious.
Both two customs are believed for the good health without catching cold through to the end of the winter.
