TENPURA


I don't know people who don't like TENPURA.
You can use not only Japanese ingredients but also anything of other countries.

For example, I've tried Italian basil for TENPURA in Italy and it was very tasty!
Feel free to try vegetables or seafood of your country and enjoy.


INGREDIENTS -serves 4 persons-

PREPARATIONS

1. Precook

Cut vegetables as it's easy to eat. Actualy any vegetables will do for TENPURA.

2. Warm oil

Put oil into a pan and heat it about 170 degrees.


3. Mix powder and water

Mix TENPURA powder or flour and cold water.


4. Fry vegetables and seafood

Dress vegetables or seafood with TENPURA liquid and fry.

5. Drain excess oil

Drain excess oil with paper or something. Eat with salt or dip in soy-sauced fish soup with grated DAIKON or as you like.



TIP

When you can get TENPURA powder, I promiss it's very easy to cook tasty TENPURA.
If you can't get it and need to use flour for TENPURA, you should be carefull not to gain flour gluten which reduce crispy texture.

  1. Make powder and water very cold.
  2. Put flour into water. Don't put water into flour.
  3. Don't stir well. Leave some powder.
